NFL, SEC, RIAA: PLZ, LOL

I’ll be posting real time play-by-play accounts of all Eagles games this season on twitter…In protest.  I don’t understand the threat here.  Is the NFL’s bottom line really in jeopardy by fans using Twitter and YouTube?  I totally understand and agree with the league banning anyone in the organization from using social media for an hour or two before, during, and after the games, which makes absolute sense and is a good regulation (although this would be epic).  But why spend so much effort on blocking fans tweeting from the stands or uploading shaky low-res videos to YouTube? The NFL and the SEC make the RIAA look like Robin Hood’s gang of merry men.
